A Framework for Evidence-Based Massage Therapy

Massage therapy has been shown to be an effective non-pharmacological therapeutic intervention that is simple to carry out, economical, and has very few side effects. The widespread adoption of an evidence-based framework will lead to improved healthcare and a cohesive approach essential for improving patient outcomes for people with acute and chronic pain.

An evidence-based framework can help bridge the gap between research and the clinical practice of massage therapy.
