Continuing Education Workshop for Massage Therapists in Saskatoon​​

This one-day workshop empowers massage therapists to deliver individualized care through a whole-person health approach. By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand and apply the principles of whole-person health in the context of sport-related injury and pain.

  • Develop skills in adaptive manual therapy, combining various techniques (e.g., massage, neural mobilization, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization) to enhance nervous system and soft tissue adaptability.

  • Integrate effective self-management strategies, grounded in evidence, to promote resilience and optimize treatment results.

  • Design multidimensional treatment plans that foster adaptability and resilience for ten prevalent sport-related injury and pain conditions, including: low back pain, headache disorders, temporomandibular disorders, shoulder pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, lateral elbow pain, groin and adductor injuries, knee pain, plantar heel pain, and chronic ankle instability.

This course will be hosted at the office of the Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan (22-1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9).

Who is The Course Instructor?

Richard Lebert has worked at The Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic in London Ontario as a Registered Massage Therapist. In addition to his Diploma from Lambton College, Richard has certification in Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University. Richard is the developer of The RMT Education Project, an evidence-based resource for massage therapists.
