Research Highlight: The Sensory Neurons of Touch

The Sensory Neurons of Touch

Research Highlight: Here is a paper from 2013 that provides a great overview of mechanoreceptors.

I wanted to highlight a scientific paper that I find myself reviewing on a regular basis. The Sensory Neurons of Touch is a paper published in Cell, that provides the best representations of mechanoreceptors that I have seen to date

The paper gives an indepth overview of how touch is processed by the the nervous system by going into detail about a number of mechanoreceptors located in the cutaneous and subcutaneous structures.

For the time being the paper open access so it is free to view, check it out!
